Faithful Beginnings

Dominique writes to share her faith journey and mission, inviting readers into intimate stories of hope, grace, and God’s daily presence. She discovered a love for writing when she took an advanced placement English class in high school. What started out as analytical writing in response to prompts by her teacher, turned into free writing in journals and later delving into the creativity of writing poetry. As a military child, writing gave her an outlet to express what she experienced from cultures around the world. She would find herself battling mental illness in early adulthood, and writing continued to be a cathartic journey towards healing and a deeper relationship with God.

When she started her life anew in her 30s after divorce, her writing that once shared pain as an overtone with faith as an undertone, she chose to be obedient to God and only write when Holy Spirit led. When she picked up her pen to write again after 5 years of putting down the pen to heal and grow in her faith, the Lord did a new thing through her writing. He answered prayers and revealed wisdom only He could about her suffering of past and present, and about her promising future. She’s waiting in great anticipation to see how the Lord will continue to renew this writing gift, to transform her and all those He seeks to set free through her words.
